An Animal Rights Website for Students and Teachers!
We are the Humane Education Unit for Animal Liberation
The primary aim of this site and all its content is to provide an opportunity for students interested in learning and wanting to make a positive step towards reducing animal suffering. Students will find information relevant to many projects, assignments and subjects. Students and teachers will also find that some issues can be linked to the NSW Schools Syllabuses for secondary students.
As an interested student you are here because of your interest in finding out the facts about the major areas of animal cruelty. There are many terrific sites out there dedicated to fighting animal cruelty and promoting cruelty-free practices.
You may be a student wanting to become involved in promoting an awareness of animal rights, or would like someone to speak to your class or school about a particular topic. Or you may want to start a project dealing with a particular issue. We have the information to help you out!
The Aims
The aims of the website in relation to students are:
- To provide factual information about different forms of animal cruelty and the relevant practices.
- To provide information relevant to Australian students -who may have a general interest in animal cruelty practices- for projects or assignments.
- To allow individuals the opportunity to form their own views and for those wanting to help stop animal cruelty, give them support and ideas on how they can obtain their goals.
- To provide a positive space for students interested in wanting to stop animal cruelty to meet and discuss thoughts, ideas and actions.
We even have a section for teachers!
If you are a teacher interested in promoting an awareness in humane education, we can help you. If you are an educator or teacher interested in incorporating humane education into your classroom, we have a specific section for you.
For schools, educators and teachers interested in putting the issues into classroom content, the main focus points are:
- Promoting an awareness of adopting humane education interest within your classroom and schools.
- Linking these issues where relevant to the various secondary subjects as set out in the NSW Education Syllabus.
Above all, this site is dedicated to the millions of animals that are suffering and for those few who are willing and wanting to stop animal cruelty. As coined by those who fight for animal rights: You are their voice. For if not you, who? If not now, when?
